We woke up, we headed downstairs for coffee, fruit, and of course, croissants. We anticipated and then we heard our schedule for the day….. into town for some shots of the Graveyard, lunch then back to the Chateau for a private shooting session with Elizabeth, finished by an evening with Leah Macdonald!
Ok…we never made it to the cemetery. We were way to busy eating macaroons, drinking coffee, and lunching in town, but it was so great having some time to sit down with fellow photographers and just be ourselves. Laughing, taking in the sites, enjoying the morning!
When we returned, we were able to get some one on one with Elizabeth Messina during a boudoir session. Please check out Kiss the Groom. She captured some amazing moments.
We had a small break then off to the Chateau’s other sites for our class in Encaustic Painting. Awesome Day!

From Leah’s Blog…
“Students learn how to incorporate their photography with the technique of painting with pigmented beeswax to create beautiful mixed media works of art.”

These images just don’t do the experience justice. It was so great to be able to get crafty and put down the camera for even just a bit! And to learn it all from such an accomplished artist. Thanks again Elizabeth Messina for such a great workshop and to Leah for being so passionate about art, photography, and instruction!
Leah’s personal work is so totally captivating. She’s working on a big exhibition for the fall of this year as we speak. Please check out her Biss-Books Blog & Waxworks site. She turns your amazing wedding photos and creates works of art out of them!
