Paloma’s Nest

This week I received my first of many orders from Paloma’s Nest. I am in love with the simplicity and organic quality to their products. Not only are there Thank You cards but they are well known for their ring bearer bowls. Beautiful! Now I’m off to Stinson Beach for a wedding. Happy weekend!

Gorgeous Wedding Luncheon – Sonoma, CA

Sometimes it pays to be simple and elegant. Juli and Scott decided to host an amazing Luncheon for their closest friends and family in honor of their wedding. The festivities took place at the Harvest Moon Cafe, located in the town square in Sonoma, CA. Rustic chic! It was so well done. Intimate, festive and understated.

Your Own Personal Stylist

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing Teresa Kuhl of True Style. It was such a fun shoot and Teresa is definitely one of the most engaging women I’ve ever met. I loved working with her and I think you will too! This is a great example of a Portrait Session (two looks). Happy Thursday!

Waiting

I have several sessions that I cannot wait to post. Once the film comes back from the lab, all will be well. When I was going through my images in order to create something while I’m waiting, I couldn’t help but realize that I may need a little vacation to a serene spa somewhere. Dreaming is what I’m doing. It’s vital that one get the mental spa vacation that is needed. Even if it means looking at calming images. Back to life.

Thoughts for Wednesday

I’m a huge fan of Bridal Portraiture! The Bridal Session is usually scheduled for after the big day and honeymoon are over and it is a great investment for those who would like to have a more meaningful photographic experience. They are intimate and seamless and most importantly, they are totally different than portraits done on the wedding day.  A  photographer only has a limited time to capture those wonderful moments of the bride getting ready (usually about an hour) and not much time of her alone. A bridal session is a perfect opportunity for this person to slip on her wedding dress again and relive that feeling without all the worries. There is a perfect ease and the camera will capture that quiet stillness that is so apparent when there is no one tapping them on the shoulder telling them that it’s time to get ready to walk down the isle.
