Lemon & Pineapple Mint

It’s about 99 degrees and when I was creating this blog post my mouth started to water at the thought of a Mojito (ice cold) made with Pineapple Mint. Happy weekend ~ Cheers!

limon

  • 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 4 teaspoons sugar
  • 12 large fresh pineapple mint leaves
  • 1/4 cup blanco or reposado tequila (or traditional rum for you purists out there)
  • 1/4 cup club soda

In a highball glass, mix lime juice, sugar, and mint. Mash mint leaves with the back of a spoon until the sugar dissolves.

Fill the glass with ice. Add tequila and club soda; stir to blend.

An Apple A Day

When we bought our house, we didn’t realize that we had vintage apple and pear vines. Vines dating back to Russia circa 1700. I know…needless to say, they are a strange looking apple with a very distinctive taste. Gorgeous to look at….not so much to eat. Crunch!

The Alexander, a Russian apple that pre-dates 1817

Sisters

I have many so I know the special bond that exists. They are cut from the same mold but yet have their own character and soul.

Summertime

One of these mornings
You’re going to rise up singing
Then you’ll spread your wings
And you’ll take to the sky

But till that morning
There’s a’nothing can harm you
With daddy and mamma standing by……

Classic

I’m preparing for Glen Ellen and wanted to post a little something before it gets too hectic. There are so many options out there for brides when it comes to flowers. There is a choice for every theme. As a photographer it is amazing to find myself naturally gravitate to capturing the essence of a flower. It’s almost instinctual. As a woman I can’t help but adore their presence in a room. It makes everything a little bit better, even when all else is busy or in disarray. My favorites, white roses and explosive peonies. Cheers~ Silvana

The Camp Out! Olema, CA

Our School is a piece of Heaven on Earth. We really feel blessed to have found such haven and to have met such wonderful people. This was our end of the year camp out. Marshmallows roasting, fires warming, food cooking.

Havoc did reek a few times but I think that comes with the territory. Highlight for me was Maren’s super delicious family receipe cake. She should give up her secret!

The late night music was fun. Thanks to Randy, Ben, Rich. A special shout out to Adam for that wonderful California song. You know the one.
