Silvana Difranco bio picture

~ Welcome ~

Many many thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at Silvana Di Franco Photography. I'm happy to share my personal and professional world with you. There will be a lot of Wedding Photography, musings on life and family, some food shots (I really like shooting food) and some just for fun entries. I have been taking pictures for a very long time. It all began with my father’s film camera & curiosity. I still use film but have adapted quite nicely to the joys and freedom of digital.  Feel free to leave a comment. They are truly appreciated. If you need any information regarding pricing or scheduling, send an email using the contact form above. I will get right back to you. Cheers and congratulations!!

Tina & Antonio

After all this rain and more to come, it was so amazing that the clouds opened up and the sun came shining through this past Sunday in San Francisco. Luck? Maybe….Tina and Antonio are set to marry in October and they wanted to get their engagement session done for their “save the dates”. After a rain out the weekend past, we where all crossing our fingers for good weather. Well….it worked. Cheers!!

King’s Highway “A Roadside Diner” has a wonderful press pot of coffee and the food was yumm! Especially their sage breakfast sausage!

Hemp blankets, robes with loads of character and the rooms are funky in a good way!

Blue Skies ~ Wheat ~ Gardens

There are a lot of wedding trends going on at the moment that are simply beautiful, creative and all around jaw dropping really. I can’t help but admire all the DIY projects and crafty ideas that Brides are implementing. The originality of themes like retro or barn or sixties….it’s all so inspiring. I think my favorite ideas (for now) is the use of natural elements and the venues that compliment a natural thought process. Gardens, parks, barns, the woods. Amazing. I know I’ll change my mind as it’s almost impossible to really only have one favorite.

Tea Cakes

My Dad was over the other day enjoying some soccer and his grandson. It seemed like a perfect time to break out these perfect little treats and swish them down with some Jasmine tea. An enjoyable Saturday afternoon.

Be Mine

Are you ready to make those sweet little Valentines cards? Or maybe you’re going to propose? Or you’re going out with friends to celebrate the anti-valentines day. Whatever it may be, enjoy the reds, pinks and most of all the chocolate. mmmm.

Local Love

Recently I read on Twitter that one of the wedding trends of 2010 was farm dinners and the writer didn’t understand why. Another vendor simply replied that in California, this trend was totally understandable because we have so much local food to choose from. I have to agree. There is nothing more wonderful than to celebrate what surrounds you. In Northern California, we get to enjoy everything from organic fruits and vegetables, creameries that are to die for, to local wine and grass fed meat and poultry. Yummmm…..
