Drakes Beach || A Favorite Spot

Though all west Marin beaches are truly magical in the summer, my favorite time to visit is in the winter. The wind is blowing, the fog is in and there is a sense of solitude that is really gratifying. When we want to get out of the cold and have a bite to eat, we visit the Drakes Beach Cafe. Their fish n chips is out of this world! Stay warm…I guess winter is finally here.

Oh…don’t forget to visit their museum too.

Winter || Where are you?

This is a memorable week. I’m on a juice detox (only 2nd day) and I’m prepping for The Lab Event! I’m not going to lie. It’s not easy. I’m hungry, tired and a little grouchy! Thankfully, I have tons to do! If you’re on a cleanse or detox program….best to you. I know what you’re going through. Meanwhile, where is winter? It’s been so beautiful. I’m missing the rain and warm fires, coffee and food…!

Happy New Year || A Reveiw

I can’t believe this year is over! There were some ups and downs but overall, it was a year of lessons, a year of struggle, a year of growth! I think that personally, I tried to put myself in situations that are outside my comfort zone and it paid off. I met so many amazing people, photographed really open and loving couples and was able to finally put systems in place. Believe me….that was huge. These are some outtakes of this past year. More images than I’m use to but hey….it’s a year end review! May 2012 bring you lessons, struggle and growth. I don’t think you can have any without the other ~ Happy New Year to you!

I begin with portraits. I had the opportunity to photograph really talented people this year. Musicians, photographers, jewelers, awesome teens and wonderful families. This year I was also lucky enough to be able to attend a really great workshop with Jonathan Canlas. A few of these are from FIND.

Next up. Details and Food. I have to admit, I spent a lot of money on film this year just so I can get better at shooting food. A lot of money……I must really like it.

I promised myself to do 4 styled shoots a year. I was only able to to do three but am really proud of the way they turned out. Many people are to thank for these shoots as they were all collaborations. Again… I got to meet really great folks this year.

Weddings & Love Sessions! I loved all my clients this year. Really really wonderful people. From intimate events to lavish, they were all interesting and fun to capture.

And last but not least…my family. My sweet intimate little family. We survived 4 road trips, first day at school, a new pooch, many haircuts, and lost multiple teeth to the the tooth fairy!
